Pairing Chalk Paint Colors

Pairing chalk paint colors together.

One of the things I love about Chalk Paint is how beautifully the colors pair together.  The desk is painted in Country Grey with accents in Old Ochre.

I added a bit of dark wax to give the paint a slightly aged and worn look.

The chair is painted in Chateau Grey and Old Ochre with soft hints of Antoinette Pink. (You can see the post about the chair HERE.)

The books in the vignette are painted in some layered colors of Chalk Paint. I don't remember all the colors, but the main color is Duck Egg blue. The flowers pick up the color of Antoinette Pink.

I replaced the original drawer pulls with antique crystal knobs.

The desk includes removable wood drawer dividers. I lined the bottom of the drawer with a map themed paper. I used double sided tape to affix the paper, so it's easy to switch out with another paper if desired.

Both the top of the desk and the chair seat were stained with a General Finishes stain in the color Salem. So although the desk and chair are not an original set, they coordinate well together.
