Footstool - Farmhouse Style

Graphic transfers over wood.
This is a country style footstool that I gave a little extra farmhouse charm to using graphic transfers. The graphic transfer of a rooster is layered on top of French script in the background. (Both the graphics are from The Graphics Fairy's website.)

I used a wet graphic transfer method to transfer both graphics onto the wood. The footstool was stained wood with most of the seal-coated finish worn away. I applied a thin layer of clear Mod Podge prior to applying the graphics. I didn't take photos of the process for this project, but I did create a tutorial on another project. You can click HERE on my other post to learn how to do a wet transfer method for graphics. It's quite easy and fun to do.

Using a wet transfer method for graphics is easy to do.

Here's a closer look at the two graphics, French script and a rooster, on the footstool.

It's easy to add some style to outdated furniture with graphic transfers.
