I picked up this rustic farmhouse style table at an auction. I've been using it as a work table, but it's time to finish up this project.

Before |
The table is sturdy, but the wood planked top has some splits. It had about 4 layers of paint on it. My plan was to remove the paint on the top and paint the base.

Before painted finish |
I sanded back the paint to reveal the wood underneath. The paint had worked it's way down into the nooks and crannies so that it was impossible to remove completely without damaging the wood. I sealed the wood with Danish Oil and the residual paint remains as part of its rustic finish.

I painted the base in Duck Egg blue and the knobs in Coco. I sealed the paint in soft clear wax and then applied touches of dark wax.
