Vintage 1920s Dresser

Before 1920s dresser with chipping paint
I found this 1920's dresser at a thrift store. It's one of my favorite styles and has three large drawers as well as two small drawers. The knobs were not original and there was a lot of surface damage, which is probably why someone painted it years ago.

In Progress: Secretary Desk

It might be a little crazy, but I'm trying to squeeze in a project in the middle of the holiday festivities. I've had this secretary desk on my to-do list for a long time.

Dated Dry Sink Cabinet Gets a Makeover!

Vintage dry sink cabinet

Well I'm not sure if this is technically a dry sink, but that's what first came to my mind when I saw it. It could be called a server, buffet, or cabinet. I think it is from the 1960's or 1970's, and it is made of solid wood. Of course there were a few issues that needed to be addressed. My husband thought it was dated looking and wasn't as excited about it as I was. But I knew it could be fabulous!

Vintage Kitchen Table

Vintage 1930s table

I brought this vintage kitchen table back from a recent trip to northern Ohio, It reminds me of a table you would have found in a farmhouse or cottage kitchen in days gone by. This table doesn't have a manufacturer's label or mark, however, it has a similar design and construction of another table that I worked on that I was able to determine was from the 1930s, so I believe this table is from the same time period.

Decorative Parisian Trunk

Wicker trunk before

The weather has turned colder so today's project is one that I worked on mostly indoors. As the blog title indicates it's a Parisian trunk. Well OK maybe not exactly from Paris. Actually it's from China. But I gave it a Parisian design hence the blog title. It is a decorative trunk that I picked up from a thrift store for $3. If you're new to decorative painting then this size of project is great for practicing your new skills on.
