Easy Rustic Country Sign


Today's post is about how I re-purposed an old window screen into a rustic country sign. This is a fun and easy project that can be customized for a variety of purposes. The screen I used for my project is large and measures approximately 55" high x 34" wide. But any size screen would work.

Cedar Chest


You just can't go wrong purchasing a cedar chest as it's a very versatile piece of furniture. Use it for extra seating, storage, or as a coffee table. I was happy to pick this one up as a project.

Vintage Chicago Side Table


The harp design on this side table drew me in as it gives a beautiful touch of style to the table. But it didn't look so good when I picked it up; in fact it was still in the process of being restored.

Child's Vintage Rocking Chair

The original finish on this child's rocking chair was so dark and dingy. I couldn't imagine it would brighten up a space for a child. So I decided to give the chair a makeover with a bright and cheerful design.

Antique Pressed Back Rocking Chair



There was no question that this rocking chair was a "project piece", but the previous owner did most of the work already, so I couldn't pass it by. It's an antique pressed back rocking chair, which were commonly manufactured between the 1870's and 1920's.
